I know the situation  in Japan is far from rubies and love songs-like, but this poster is. It’s happy, upbeat and presents a lovely message. I hope to see it go into production soon, so the artist can donate the proceeds to the cause. It isn’t very clear that they will just yet, but it’s nice to look at, even still.

today was a total “feel sorry for myself” kind of day. yes, in spite of the horrific things mother nature did across the world. sue me. i told myself rubies and love songs wasn’t happening. now as the evening comes to an end, i realize that’s what this is all about. embracing something beautifully happy even when everything feels miserably shitty. nothing major happened. just cranky.

I’m a sucker for bookcase roundups and I’m especially fond of built-ins. My dream is to have my own in our next home. Filled with books and magazines and things my children can pull out and soak up knowledge from.

I wish I could remember how I came across Jane…on which blog, that is. But I fell in love with her so quickly, all of that is a blur. She was pricey, so I moved on. Then I remembered I had two broken iPhones up for sale on eBay. I told myself that once they sold, she was mine. I checked in daily to make sure the one-of-a-kind, handmade in France fashionista fox was still available. My phones sold yesterday and now she’s on her way to me…errr to the baby, of course.

I can’t wait to meet Jane. By the time she arrives I should be even closer to meeting the other new fashionista fox in my life.
