New Year, New Me, New ‘Do

23 Jan

I chopped off all of my hair today. It felt good. It was like a cleanse. Get rid of that alcohol laden hair.

Also, coming across this Visual Thesaurus Word of the Day solidified my decision to rid my life of a few toxic people.

Mad and Bad Word of the Day

vituperative

You’ll get higher marks for using this adjective than for exemplifying it: vituperative means “harshly or abusively critical.” It’s a derivative of the verb vituperate, which is in turn derived from Latin roots meaning “find fault.” The vit- part, somewhat morphed, also shows up in vice and vicious.

I may be 23 days late, but I’m definitely feeling a case of out with the old. It seems oh so cliche. But you know what? If being sober and positive and happy and loving life feels a little cliche to this recovering Negative Nancy…so be it.

Now, if I could just come across some really great ‘new’…
